Qampa Mountain Climb Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Pacchanta – Base Camp
The adventure to Jampa Mountain Climb will start in Cusco, we will collect from your hotel early in the morning, 5:30am approximatly in our private transport, then we will drive for 3 hours until Tinke village where we will stop for a bit, there you can buy items that you will need during the next days. After we continue our drive to reach the trailhead where we will meet with our trekking team in Pacchata.
Then, you’ll hike through beautiful Andean farmland and traditional Quechua villages, giving you a glimpse into rural life in the region. After about 5 km of hiking, you’ll arrive at the famous 7 Lakes of Ausangate, where we will get our delicious lunch prepared by our chef. Later you can hike to our basecamp at 4,780 meters (15,682 ft), All our tents will be set up by our trekking team. Around 6 pm you’ll get the dinner following by the brief for the next day.

Day 2: Base Camp – Moraine – Qampa Summit – Base Camp – Pacchanta – Cusco
This is the most challenging day during this Qampa Climb ing tour, it will take you above 5,520 meters, so our team will wake you up around 3:00am with a hot coca tea, after enjoyed the nutritive breakfast, we will start our hike toward the moraine, it will be an hour of hike. Then we climb up for another hour to reach the glacier where we will start our climbing on the glacier to reach the summit, after getting all our climbing gear (Crampons, harness, helmet, rope and ice axes) we will climb up through some ice walls and crevasse until we reach the summit. During the climb you will enjoy the sunrise and the stunning views, see how Ausangate peak turns to golden colors due while the sun rise this iconic mountain. Once we summited the peak you will have incredible view from above where you can see the 360º including the Ausangate Mountain, the highest peak in the region, take a moment to admire this amazing view.
Day 2: Jampa Mountain Summit
Summit this mountain 5,529 meters (18,682 ft) is a reward for those who never did a climbing mountain, being at this altitude is the highly of this journey, after couple hours climbing up through difficult terrain, you finally made it and you can celebrate. Your mountain guide will do small offering to the Apps (mountains) to appreciate you got here. Then, we make our way back to the base camp, descending through the same way, probably you will rappelling at some sections. Once you back to our base camp, you will enjoy the taste lunch and have a well deserved rest. After we hike down to Pacchanta where you can soak at the hot springs, enjoy it with a nice view. Finally, we board our transport and drive to Cusco, arriving at your hotel and drop you off there.
